The Boston Bruins announced Thursday that they had signed Center David Krejci to a brand new 6-Year contract worth $43.5 million, equalling out at $7,250,000 a year. This deal makes the Czech native the highest paid player in the Bruins locker room.
Fans all over Boston and the world will be extremely happy, after rumours of a possible David Krejci trade had surfaced. But breathe easy, folks. He’s going nowhere.
Krejci has no doubt been a huge asset to his team, leading the Bruins in scoring last year with 69 points (19 goals and 50 assists). Another reason to show how Krejci deserved this deal, his plus minus last season was +39, the best in hockey. His career plus minus is also excellent, at a combined +97 over 504 NHL games.
With 110 goals and 268 assists throughout his career, the Bruins will be expecting these numbers to grow, as David Krejci will continue to be one of the most important players in Boston.
