The Bruins announced yesterday that forward Seth Griffith will be out for 3-4 weeks after sustaining an MCL sprain Sunday night against the New Jersey Devils.
The news comes as a huge disappointment to the two-year pro, who was hoping to make another impressive preseason run, and hopefully end up wearing the spoked B of Boston for the second time.
Griffith had a 30 game spell for the Bruins, where he had six goals and ten points during a time where he had impressed many, but got left behind when B’s coach Claude Julien’s ‘lack of faith’ in prospects became more and more evident.
This news will probably result in Griffith starting his year in the AHL, with the Providence Bruins. A real tough break for a prospect who has a lot of talent. The gruelling world of professional sports takes its toll once more.
