Update – Bruins’ waive Matt Irwin, Marchand out indefinitely

The Boston Bruins lost their sixth straight game to the Montreal Canadiens last night, at a score of 4-2.

The Bruins fell to 0-2-0 to start the year, and have only won two of the last ten games against their hates rivals.

They have already conceded 10 goals in two games. And at no fault of Tuukka Rask’s, the Bruins are struggling due to defense errors.

The defensive struggles are as clear as day, and the B’s organisation haven’t taken any chances.

This morning they announced that they had waived off-season pickup, D man, Matt Irwin.

They also didnt hide their disappointment, telling media that their D hadn’t been ‘good enough’ and that it ‘needs to improve drastically.’

To add to the Bruins troubles, forward Brad Merchand left the game last night after taking an elbow to the head. It’s been reported that Marchand is out indefinitely with a concussion, and his return is unknown.

Things seem to be going from bad to worse the black and gold of Boston.
